April 2009

April 26th | Taking Care of Business

Dear Church Family,

When you talk to people about their personal Bucket List the conversation will eventually turn to finances. “I want to be at this income level.” Or “I would like to be out of debt.” Yet another is, “I want financial security.” For some people attaining a comfortable level of financial freedom is more important than repairing relationships. Unfortunately for others the quest for financial strength comes at the cost of crucial relationships.

Make no mistake about it – finances need to be on our Bucket List. This morning you will find yourself in one of two categories (Listen to the sermon to find out which ones!) And if you’re in the wrong one – change! You’ll be glad you did.

At the end of the service sign up for our missions trip to San Diego. It will be an incredible time of bringing children to faith in Christ through our Ultimate Slooze Show! The coast is unbelievably low – sign up today!

Love,

Pastor Todd

April 19th | Righting Wrongs

Dear Church Family,

Jesus was a counter-culture revolutionary. He made statements that rocked the foundations of tradition and sent shock waves throughout the religious establishment of His day. On one occasion Peter asks Jesus how many times should he forgive someone when they against him? “Seven times?” was Peter’s response. Jesus tells him not seven times, but seventy times seven. In other words, keep forgiving until you lose count!

Today we continue our series on The Bucket List: Making the Most Out of Life. This morning we will discuss a hard hitting topic – getting your relationships right. Learning to forgive those who have wronged you. It has been said that we are never more like God than when we forgive. Let’s be Christ-like today!

Love,

Pastor Todd

Note: Tomorrow night we start the Fifty Days of Fitness: Female Edition. Invite your neighbors and co-workers. Sign-up in the foyer today.

April 5th | Family Prayer and Communion Service

Dear Church Family,

There is a phrase we shout out here a lot – “God is good!” The response – “All the time!” “All the Time”…”God is good!” It’s a catchy phrase, but it is even better theology.

When we really believe that statement it will revolutionize our lives! The truth is – God is good – all the time! Even in the down times of our lives God is good. When our job forecast is bleak – God is good. Believe it! God is good – All the time!

Whatever your situation is today, allow God to touch it and you! Allow Him to work in and through your problem. You’ve worried about it. You fretted over it, now give it over to loving hands of Jesus – You’ll be glad you did!

Love,

Pastor Todd

P.S. In the foyer take the time to sign up for prayer this week at Cranes Roost. We must bathe this event in prayer. Invest the time to pray, invite and pray some more.
