May 31st | Yes God!
Dear Church Family,This week I have been captivated by a thought that is revolutionizing the way I think. It is a continuation really of what God has been birthing in my heart since last week. The thought comes in the form of a question:
What if, when God asked you to do something, instead of hesitating or asking questions, you just said, “Yes”?
How would this change your day? How would this change the way you look at life or your surroundings? Would saying yes to God change the way I act or react? What effect would it have on my community? Better yet, what would happen to our church and our homes if we all started off each day with this statement and question:
Yes God, I’m willing – What’s the question?
Love,
Pastor Todd
May 24th | The "Can Do" God
Last week I talked to you about fear. As I studied fear, a revolutionary thought developed within me. Fear is often a precursor to greatness! Satan will use fear in our lives to move us away from the goodness of God while God will use fear to motivate us toward Himself. Same emotion with two different results...Interesting.I’m not sure what God is doing in my life or in this ministry, but I know it’s good. He is placing a stirring in my heart to get back to grass roots ministry. This morning I want to share with you some things God is speaking into my life. As an external thinker, I need to hear my thoughts come out of my mouth. This morning is one of those moments. This morning is for me, but I hope you’ll stick around…I think you’ll be glad you did!
Love,
Pastor Todd
May 17th | Fear Factor
Dear Church Family,One of the most often spoken commands in the Bible is “Do Not Fear.” Interesting isn’t? Of all the commands in scripture, this is tops. It is spoken of more than the command to go to church, love our neighbors or to share our faith. Why do you think that is?
Let’s put on the white coat and be philosophical for a moment. Fear keeps us from doing so many things in our lives. It is fear that keeps us from sharing our faith, loving our neighbor and even going to church. Fear is debilitating . And it is fear that keeps us from fulfilling our Bucket List and from maximizing the life God has for us.
Now let’s take off the white coat and be practical. We need to face our fears. We need to develop a game plan to overcome our fears. We need to get to the point in our lives where we will no longer tolerate this damaging emotion. Hopefully today we will help. It could be the start to a brand new you!
Love,
Pastor Todd
May 10th | Family First
Dear Church Family,Happy Mother’s Day! What would life be like without mothers? Honestly, life as we know it, the family as we know it would be radically different without mothers! Mom’s have such a tremendous influence on their children and on the family. The dad may be the head, but the mom is the neck that turns the head!
President Abraham Lincoln said, “I remember my mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.” The power of a praying mom is one of the most powerful influences in the world! Thank you moms for all you do!
This morning we continue our series on The Bucket List: Making the Most Out of Life. In honor of Mothers Day we will talk about a Family First Bucket List. Have you ever considered making a Bucket Life for your family? Doing so will enhance the time with your family. Give it a try – and by the way, give momma a call today!
Love,
Pastor Todd
